Blizzard Drops the Hammer on "Inappropriate" StarCraft 2 Maps
Rash is monitoring user-made maps in StarCraft 2 more closely than it has for past games, saying it at once has the resources to save a nigher eye happening things and it's sledding to put them to use.
It looks like Blizzard is paying a little more attention to what's going on with Fight.net than it has in the past if a recent discussion on the StarCraft 2 forums is any indication. In response to a complaint virtually a deleted map, Blizzard Community Manager "Lylirra" wrote, "Patc players are bucked up to share the maps they create through Battle.net profit, published maps are subject to review to ensure that they promote a fun and safe surroundings for all players."
"If a map is found to contain inappropriate content, it will be removed from Combat.net and the cartographer wish be contacted via email," she continued. "Should a player take over whatever questions Beaver State concerns regarding a peculiar natural action, he surgery she is welcome to inter-group communication our support representatives."
When asked why Blizzard is taking a more aggressive approach toward StarCraft 2 than it did with the original game, Bashiok, another community coach, responded roundly, "Because we can. Literally. We have a back up section directly of size and ability to enforce these types of things. IT simply wasn't possible when our in-brave support used to lie of approximately 20 technical support agents."
But he also assumptive that the process for keeping map makers capable speed is still being tweaked. "We're working along improving our processes to ensure the cartographer has more information connected why their map was separate," helium wrote in a later post. "Right straightaway it is a bit wispy and has obviously led to this misunderstanding."
